Obituary of Cindi L. Hare

On Tuesday July 27th, 2021, Cindi L. Hare, loving wife and mother of 2 daughters passed away at the age of 75. Cindi was born on 4/28/1946 in Watertown, NY to Robert and Edna Hadden. She moved to Rochester, NY in 1967 after marrying Richard Hare, also of Watertown, NY. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from the Rochester Institute of Technology and worked as a social worker for many years. She was well respected by everyone in her field as well as members of the Rochester Police Department, where Richard worked as a police officer. Her daughter Heather was born in 1971, followed by her daughter Bethany in 1974. Cindi had a passion for the New York Yankees and for New York City. She and Richard lived in New York City for a period of time, fulfilling one of her life-long dreams. She loved the artwork of local artist Ramon Santiago and had an extensive collection of his work in their home on Culver Road. She loved music, some of her favorite artists being The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and Michael Franks. Her grandson Logan was the apple of her eye and always made her smile. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard, her daughters Heather (Bobby) and Bethany (Nick), her grandson Logan, her sister Roberta (Tom) Gaffney and her nephews Justin and Matthew Gaffney. A remembrance celebration will be held at their residence, 235 Culver Road, Rochester, NY, on Saturday August 7th from 1-7 pm.
