Obituary of Alton G. Foreman

In Loving Memory Of Alton G Foreman “Big Al” Who Gained his Wings October 14, 2021 with his Loving Family by his side. Survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Christine Foreman “His Beauty”; 8 children, Mary (Stephen) Hamilton, Nicole Polizzi, Paul (Kirsten Kitz) Foreman, Matthew Foreman, Steven (Gabriella) Foreman, Amanda (Jonathan) Rios, Jennifer Foreman, and Rebecca Foreman; his 8 grandchildren, Isaiah, Mia, Nathaniel, Logan, Stevie, Gabriel, Isabella and Genevieve; and many extended family members and friends. He was born August 16, 1946. He joined the Army at 18 and served in Korea and Germany before 3 tours in Vietnam where he was wounded and awarded a purple heart. He was in the Army Band and his love for music continued with his civilian life. Al loved his get-togethers, especially those that could break out into a jam session. He was a devoted husband and loving father. Al was always available to lend a hand, even if it was 3am and someone called for help he would get himself out of bed and be there in the nick of time. The last 4 years of his life he struggled with his health but all he wanted was to have his family by his side, some good music, a shot of Jameson and a party for his travels to eternal life. Calling hours will be held Saturday, October 23rd from 2-3PM with a Military Service to follow from 3-4PM at Dierna Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to Wounded Warriors Project (https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org).
