Catharine “Kati” Monoki DiLella
1946 – 2021
Called by the Lord on July 6, 2021 at the age of 74. After battling pancreatic cancer for several months, Catharine passed away peacefully at her home, with her son at her side. She is survived by her son, David; grandchildren, Joseph and Sophia; daughter-in-law, Monika; sister, Genevieve (Robert) Stidolph; nephew Russell (Tracey) Stidolph; and numerous extended family members in the U.S. and Hungary. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Joseph; mother, Maria (Alpar) Monoki; father, Laszlo Monoki.
Catharine was an exceptional person- a loving mother and grandmother, caring friend, and remarkable teacher. She touched many people with her passion and energy for life. A role model for family, a talented artist, and cherished by her students and colleagues at Aquinas High School and the Rochester City School District. She will be dearly missed.
All are welcome to attend the Memorial Mass held at St. Joseph’s Church (1209 Rush West Rush Road, Rush, NY 14543) held on Thursday, July 15 at 10 am. Internment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery immediately following the Memorial Mass held at St. Joseph’s Church. Reception to celebrate Kati’s life to be held at her home at 4 pm.
