Obituary of Anthony L. Cinotti

Anthony L. Cinotti "Tony" Town of Greece, NY – Devoted husband, father, and grandfather passed suddenly in the comfort of his home on January 27, 2021 at age 83. Tony lived his entire life in Rochester, NY and was a graduate of Aquinas High School and St. John Fisher College. He served in the US Army Reserves and enjoyed a long career in the insurance business, retiring at age 72. Tony was a consummate family man, directing all his time and energy towards being a loving husband (married 56 years), devoted father of three children, and grandfather to five cherished grandchildren. He would begin and end each day in prayer and watched the daily mass at noon when he could no longer attend church. Although an avid college and professional sports enthusiast, Tony’s favorite games took place when he was in the stands cheering on his children and grandchildren. Tony was also a nature lover and enjoyed many years of camping, hiking, and fishing all over New York state, and the highlight each year was the extended-family Adirondack vacation, where Tony affectionately earned the title of “The Captain”. Tony is predeceased by parents Louis and Christine, mother and father-in-law Robert and Alice Kane, and brother-in-law Joseph Shafer. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia, children Nancy (Steve) Decker, Terri Cinotti, and Steve (Gina) Cinotti, son-in-law Richard Kalb, grandchildren RJ Kalb (Alex Luce), Natalie (Jacob) Bunce, Ashley, Alicia and Mason Cinotti, sisters Gloria Shafer and Sr. Marie Cinotti FMM, aunt Helen Antetomaso, sister-in-law Kathy Kane, brother-in-law Robert (Emily) Kane, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. A private service will be held for family members, and a memorial will be announced for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tony's memory to the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, 8124 Edgemere Blvd., El Paso, TX 79925.
