Obituary of Victor Martinez

Victor M Martinez entered eternal rest with our Lord on May 6, 2020 at the age of 77. After several months of declining health issues, he died peacefully with his son Anthony Martinez by his side. Victor‘s firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Victor was predeceased by his beloved wife Luz Martinez, mother Saturnila Santiago and stepson Jerry Berrios. Victor was born in Patillas Puerto Rico and moved to New York City at a very young age. He moved to Rochester New York with his late wife in the late 1970’s. He retired from Don Alleson of Rochester where he worked for many years. Victor was known for his love of baseball specifically the New York Yankees. He was blessed with a large and loving family. He is survived by Victor Martinez Jr, Bernice Martinez, Omara Alvelo (Jose) and Anthony Martinez (Jessica). His stepchildren Jesus Berrios, Alfred Berrios, and Jose Cruzado (Susan), many loving grandchildren , great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Victor will be buried at Riverside cemetery after a private viewing for immediate family members. A celebration of his life will be held for his many friends and family at a later date.
