Obituary of George Wambach
WALWORTH - Passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on June 2, 2019 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Vicki (Brunt) Wambach. He is survived by his adoring daughters, Kim (Tom) George, Marla (Chuck) Arroyo, Robin (Pat) Bautista; and Papa’s grandchildren, James, Olivia, Mason, Ryan, Nina, Justin and Bryn; Sisters, Carol (George) Palumbo, Janet Smith, Jeannie Hodge and extended family.
In his early years, George attended college and worked two jobs while he and his wife raised a young family. He obtained his masters in engineering and worked for companies such as NASA, Xerox, Texas Instruments and finally retiring from Kodak. He traveled around the world, obtained his six sigma master black belt in process improvement and published mathematical theorems. He fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming the proud owner of George’s Farm Market, which he and his family ran for 20 years. He adored his daughters and his grandchildren. His positive nature, whimsical philosophy and humor touched all those who met him. He will be sorely missed by all.
Friends may call WEDNESDAY June 5th ,from 3P-7P at the Dierna Funeral Home, 2309 Culver Rd. (near Norton). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated THURSDAY 9:30am at St. Kateri at St. Cecilia’s Church. Those wishing may donate to the Wilmot Cancer Institute in his memory.
