Obituary of Benita Rivera

Benita Rivera passed away peacefully on March 14, 2019. She would have been 96 on March 21st. She is predeceased by her husband Emilio; son Emilio Jr., and daughter Julia.  Beloved mother of Grace (Hector) Castro, Eloiza “Ellie” Rivera, Modesto (Lydia) Rivera, and daughter-in-law Nancy Heredia. Loving grandmother of Joseph, Myrna,Karen, Kevin, Eric, Hector, Jennifer, Juliana, Anna, Carolyn, Josue, and Yiovana. Great-grandmother of 17, great-great-grandmother of 1. She also leaves 5 siblings, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Wise loving mother and grandmother. Gave of herself to others, selfless, happy, full of joy and song. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 

Calling hours will be Sunday 4-8pm at Dierna Funeral Home 2309 Culver Rd (near Norton). Her funeral service will be celebrated Monday 11am at the funeral home. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
