Obituary of Joan E. Dierna

Suddenly, November 10, 2018 at age 87. Pre deceased by her Grandsons Bobby McMullen and Christopher Dierna, Sister Madeline Pasquarella, Brother Phillip “Willie” Borzilleri, Brothers in Law Vito Poskus and Remo Pasquarella.  Joan is survived by her Beloved Husband Robert E. Dierna Sr. Just short of 65 years of marriage. Loving Mother of Deborah (Terry) McMullen, Robert E. Jr. (Lori), John (Kim), and Linda (Rick) Tyll.  Devoted Grandmother of Rachel (Rich) Jones, Nikki (Chris) Magee, Haley and Andrew Tyll, Bobby III, Alec and Heather Dierna, Claire and Chloe Ecklund, Great Grandmother of Justine McMullen, Gage Jones, and Aubrey Magee, Sister of Linda Poskus, Sister in law of Phyllis Borzilleri, she also leaves many Devoted Nieces and Nephews.

Joan was a member of the St. Cecilia’s Ladies Guild and Genataska Club, and Co-Founder of Dierna Funeral Home with her Husband Bob Sr. in 1961. 

Friends may call WEDNESDAY November 14, from 3-7PM at Dierna Funeral Home 2309 Culver Rd. (near Norton St.)

Her Funeral Mass will be on Monday November 26, when they would have Celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary, at 11AM at St. Kateri at St. Cecilia's Church.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital in her memory.

The entire family would like to thank all of our friends for their calls, texts, and messages. The outpouring of support during this most difficult time has been comforting, knowing that so many of you care.
