Obituary of Michael Burke

Michael J. Burke “MB” Penfield – Michael succumbed to cancer on 9-24-21 at the age of 69. Son of William and Maude Burke (predeceased) and brother to Ellen and Margaret (predeceased), he is survived by his brother Father Richard Burke, sister Lillian Cook, Sons Tim (Marnee) and Kevin (Kristina), his grandchildren Jamie, Declan, Dylan and Delilah, his former wife Nancy Donals, nieces and nephews. Michael was loyal to family and friends throughout his life and frequently reminded his sons that family comes first. His work ethic and determination brought success early in his life. Although he was troubled by persistent health issues in recent years, he helped whenever possible. His advice, kindness and generosity will be remembered and missed by all that knew him. Calling hours will be Tuesday 10/5 from 5-7pm at Dierna Funeral Home 2309 Culver Rd. In lieu of flowers please consider donations in his memory to the American Cancer Society, U of R Wilmot Cancer Institute, or Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
