Obituary of Rocco Palermo

Rocco Palermo Brighton-Irondequoit- A loving husband, uncle and friend passed peacefully on Nov. 11, 2020-Veterans Day at 100. Rocco was predeceased by his childhood sweetheart and devoted wife of 50 years Libra (DellaVella); his parents Maria (Brienza) and Donato Palermo; 10 siblings-Jim, Mike, Anna, Rose, Milly, Frank, Sue, Dan, George and Milly; nieces Linda Cook, Carolyn Palermo and nephew Gene Palermo. Rocco is survived by nieces and nephews Marie Spiegle, Evelyn (Gene) Palermo and Don (Ruth) Palermo; his care-givers- nieces Molly Miuri-Maggio, Dolores Malouf, Phylis (Chet) Columbino, Linda (John) Palmeri, Mary DellaVella & nephew Don (DonAnn) DellaVella. Rocco served during WWII with the U.S. Navy in Africa. When he returned home, Rocco began a career as an entrepreneur and created various successful businesses. Rocco will be remembered as kind and considerate, who gave his time and effort to help family and friends. He will be remembered as “Our Uncle Rocky”. Services and Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
